Almond Butter Crunch, Dark Chocolate

Toasty almond toffee crunch wrapped in rich dark chocolate, tempered to that signature Evans snap that comes from decades of patience and attention to detail. The bitterness of dark chocolate and the warm, nutty depth of almond are a natural pairing, and Evans Candy does them both beautifully. Made by hand at the old Daisy Flour Mill just south of Lancaster City by Steve Evans and his family, using recipes and processes that have remained essentially unchanged since his father first picked up that tin funnel in his college kitchen.

Evans Candy started with a father, a kitchen, and a tin funnel. Steve Evans' father began molding chocolate in his college kitchen as a way to make a little extra money and teach his children the value of hard work, sharing the income with every child who helped. What began as a family side project eventually outgrew the kitchen, outgrew a rented storefront, and in 1983 found its permanent home in the old Daisy Flour Mill along Route 272 just south of Lancaster City, where Evans Candy has been making chocolate ever since.

 For Diana, Evans Candy is a deeply personal maker. She has fond memories of visiting with her grandparents as a child, and her grandmother never left without her favorite mint chocolate treats.
