Origin Story

Circa 2019

Diana, a native of Lancaster County, and Gabriel, from New York City, met at the Phoenicia Flea Market in 2019, where Diana sold her jams & chutneys and Gabriel worked with a Kombucha company.

Their shared passion for local food, small businesses, and the environment sparked an instant connection. During the pandemic, they moved to Lancaster County, launching Lancaster Local Provisions (now Lancaster Gift Box) in July 2020.

Initially a fresh grocery delivery service, it aimed to support local farmers and build a sustainable local food system. Although now a gift box company, their mission to support local producers and reinvest in the community remains the same.

  • Mission

Our vision is to enrich human connection through generosity.

Our mission is to build a thriving community of local food producers, farmers, and makers, driving support for our local economy and transforming the way we approach gift giving.

  • Passion

We strive to elevate not only the gifting experience but also the values and principles behind it.

We believe that supporting local businesses isn't just about transactions; it's about forging genuine connections between consumers and the products they purchase.

  • Community

At Lancaster Gift Box, we believe in protecting the land and caring for the people it feeds.

That’s why we donate 1% of our sales to support local farms and hunger relief organizations, working with the Hunger‑Free Lancaster County community coalition

  • Generosity

Generosity is the driving force behind everything we do. When you give first, you create meaningful connections, build trust, and open the door to incredible opportunities.

And the best part? Being generous doesn’t just benefit others; it feels deeply rewarding for you as well.
