OUR STORY
Diana grew up in Lancaster County, PA, and Gabriel grew up in New York City. Diana went to college in Manhattan and continued living there after graduation.
Diana met Gabriel on Memorial Day weekend 2019 at the Phoenicia Flea Market in upstate NY. Their tents next to each other—Diana was selling her low-sugar fruit spreads, Gabriel was working with a Kombucha company—it was love at first sight.
The Global Pandemic started, and the couple went to stay with Diana's mother, Janet, in Lancaster County. They thought they were only going to be there for a few weeks to ride out the storm. Instead, Gabriel and Diana decided to make their life in Lancaster County and shortly after launched Lancaster Local Provisions (now Lancaster Gift Box).
When it launched in June 2020, Lancaster Local Provisions was a fresh grocery delivery service. The purpose was to make it easy for local people to get access to the nutrient food produced in Lancaster County and to help recreate a sustainable local food system.
Although the business has evolved into a luxury gift box company, the mission remains; and that’s to make it easy for individuals & organizations to support local food producers and makers and reinvest in the region.
